Chicago Estate Advisors (CEA) is a curated retail and estate services company specializing in vintage, designer, home décor, furniture, and one-of-a-kind finds. Our inventory is constantly evolving, and our online catalog plays a critical role in showcasing these pieces.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Product Content and Inventory Specialist to support our inventory process through product photography, data entry, custom SKU creation, and product copywriting using our Wix platform across our two Chicago locations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented contractor to support our team by photographing merchandise, uploading product information, creating copywrite for descriptions, and custom SKU numbers for our online store. This role is strictly focused on inventory processing and digital product creation using our Wix platform.

Key Responsibilities

Product Photography

Photograph inventory in a clean, consistent, and accurate manner
Capture multiple angles and important details, including condition and texture
Maintain an organized workflow while processing items

Inventory Uploading

Upload products into our Wix inventory system
Enter accurate product information including measurements, condition, pricing, and categories
Ensure listings are complete and properly formatted

SKU Creation & Inventory Tracking

Create and assign custom SKU numbers for consignment and buyout inventory
Follow internal SKU structure and naming conventions
Ensure each item is accurately tracked and labeled within the system
Maintain consistency and accuracy across all inventory entries

Product Copywriting

Write clear, concise, and accurate product descriptions
Include relevant details such as brand, materials, condition, and notable features
Maintain consistency across listings

General Inventory Processing

Travel between both Chicago locations to process assigned inventory
Work through inventory efficiently and independently
Maintain organized digital records
Communicate progress and completion as needed

Preferred Experience:

Experience using Wix
Experience creating or managing SKU systems
Product photography experience (professional camera or smartphone)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong writing and organizational skills
Experience with resale, vintage, furniture, fashion, or estate inventory is a plus
Comfortable working independently

Independent Contractor Status
This position is classified as an independent contractor role. The Store Associate is
responsible for their own taxes and is not eligible for employee benefits including health
insurance, paid time off, or retirement benefits. Compensation is provided on a daily rate
basis.
