Compensation: Paid by day (daily rate based on experience)


About Chicago Estate Advisors
Chicago Estate Advisors is a growing retail and estate sale company specializing in 
curated vintage, home décor, furniture, and one-of-a-kind finds. As we expand with our 
newest location in Water Tower Place Mall, we are seeking a driven and organized 
Assistant Store Manager (Contractor) to help oversee daily store operations and support 
the growth of our retail presence.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading 
teams, and has a passion for retail, merchandising, and customer experience.


Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will work alongside store leadership to help manage daily 
operations, support the sales team, maintain inventory, assist with administrative duties, 
oversee aspects of our consignment program, and contribute to social media efforts. This 
contractor position offers flexibility while playing a key role in running and growing the 
store.


Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Team Leadership
• Assist in daily store operations to ensure efficiency and excellent customer 
experience
• Help lead, train, and support the sales team
• Assist with scheduling and coverage


Sales & Customer Service
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist with purchases, customer pickups, and special requests
• Support store promotions and sales goals


Administrative & Financial Support
• Assist with administrative tasks and reporting
• Help manage inventory systems and documentation
• Support bookkeeping processes (QuickBooks preferred)


Consignment Program
• Assist with intake, pricing, tracking, and communication with consignors
• Ensure proper handling and display of consigned items


Inventory & Merchandising
• Receive, organize, and display new inventory
• Maintain stockrooms and sales floor standards
• Assist with store resets and visual merchandising


Social Media & Marketing
• Assist with posting and promoting store content, sales, and events


Preferred Qualifications
• Retail experience required; supervisory/management experience preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable in a hands-on retail environment
• Interest in vintage, home décor, and merchandising is a plus
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed


Schedule & Compensation
• Contractor position paid on a daily rate
• Part-time to full-time availability
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings. 
• The position start time is 10:45am-7:15pm.
