Description: A museum-quality example of 19th-century American needlework, this handmade quilt features the classic "Thousand Pyramids" pattern. Meticulously pieced with hundreds of individual triangular scraps, the quilt showcases a vibrant array of antique calico and mourning prints in chocolate browns, indigo blues, madder reds, and double-pinks.

This quilt is board-mounted and ready for wall display.

Condition Report

• Grade: Good - Antique

• Details: The quilt is in sturdy, displayable condition. There is visible "shattering" (shredding) on several of the darker brown silk/cotton blend triangles due to the iron-based dyes used in that era. There are scattered age spots and light oxidation marks on the cream-colored borders (see photos). No major odors or modern repairs noted. This item is sold "as-found" to preserve its historical integrity.
