Description: A stunning example of Late Victorian craftsmanship, this Rococo Revival parlor chair dates to the 19th century. The piece features a high, gently reclined backrest and a solid walnut frame characterized by deep, flowing carvings. Notable design elements include volute-scrolled ears at the crest and a pierced apron featuring a central shell motif.
The chair is supported by elegant cabriole front legs with acanthus leaf carvings and swept saber back legs. It has been finished with a rose-toned, textured geometric upholstery and accented with a complementary corded welt.
Excellent Vintage Condition. The walnut frame is structurally sound with minor age-appropriate surface wear. Upholstery is clean, taut, and free of significant stains or tears.
