Vintage Etched Bronze Gong with Carved Wood Yoke & Mallet

Description: A vintage suspended "nipple" gong, likely of Southeast Asian origin (Thailand or Indonesia). The gong is crafted from bronze or brass alloy with a dark, oxidized finish and features an etched eight-pointed star or lotus design radiating from the central boss. It hangs from a carved dark wood yoke with scroll/floral motifs.
The piece includes a wooden striker (mallet) with a padded orange fabric head. This gong serves as both a decorative wall piece and a functional instrument, typically producing a resonant, warm tone.
