Vintage Japanese Red Woodblock Print

$175.00Price
Quantity

Description: A striking mid-century Japanese woodblock print (itaga) rendered in a vibrant cinnabar-red ink on textured washi paper. This piece likely depicts Kannon (Guan Yin), the Buddhist deity of mercy, in a soulful, modern-primitive style.
Housed in its original vintage light wood frame, this work is a perfect statement piece for a collection focused on mid-century modernism and sacred art.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition. The print itself shows some light characteristic waving (cockling) to the washi paper, which is common for this medium. The frame shows minor age-appropriate wear and scuffs. The paper backing on the reverse is torn, but the structural integrity of the frame and wire is intact.

 Size: 12” W x 16” H
