Description: An exquisite example of Guerrero folk art, this deep charcoal lacquer chest features traditional hand-etched "rayada" designs. The surface is densely decorated with mythical animals, floral vines, and geometric borders. The trunk sits upon a matching integrated four-legged wooden stand, also featuring etched detailing. A stunning statement piece for a global or eclectic interior.

 

Condition: Fair to Good (Vintage). The piece shows visible character-building wear consistent with age and use. There are several noticeable chips in the lacquer finish on the lid and legs, revealing the wood beneath. The structural integrity remains sound.
